Lexus UX300e charging schedule not working

I’ve been getting to grips with charging my UX300e too. It’s not as intuitive as you’d hope!

First problem I had was the car starting to charge immediately rather than waiting for the schedule that I’d set on my home charger via its app. I thought it would be enough to set the schedule in the charger’s app only, but apparently not.

I read on this forum that the Charge Now setting was likely to be the problem here, so went into my car to turn that off via the settings menu found using the arrow keys on the steering wheel.

It wouldn’t let me highlight the Charge Now setting to turn it off… I had to create a charging schedule first. Creating a schedule and enabling that schedule turned off the Charge Now setting. I’m on an Economy 7 tariff so I created a charging schedule in the car to start at 00.30, which matches the schedule I’ve set up on my home charger.

For anyone looking for the charging schedule settings in the Lexus Link app, you access it via the Home tab’s % charged button. It doesn’t jump out as being a button, but tap the percentage and you’re shown the Remote Charging page that includes your current charging schedule and other settings.

it’s currently showing “Waiting for charging” and the schedule I set in the car is confirmed in the app, so I’m hoping this has solved the problem.
