So I have a quote for an new i3 REx with and without maintenance for 3 years and 25k miles p/a.

The difference with maintenance is £70 p/m which on a 6 + 35 basis is a extra 2.5k ish over 3 years.

This covers tyres, brakes, punctures, servicing, breakdown and recovery, tax!! (£0!) and the 1st MOT.

All I have to pay is the insurance and Electricity/Petrol.

With tyres @ say £120 a corner for 19" wheels will this be worth it or am I better just to pay the £375 for the 5 year / 60k service plan at time of order and sort my own tyres and MOT.

My assumptions for this way are that it never breaks down or needs recovery, brakes will never need replacing in 75k (regen), the first MOT will fly through for £30 and 60k of the 75k servicing is covered by the service plan.

So it's just tyres to supply, maybe 1 service. All repairs will be covered by the initial 3 year unlimited miles warranty anyway?

Thoughts current owners and maths boffins!

Seems like you are being charged a lot for maintenance. (maybe because of your higher mileage). My BMW dealer charged just £18 per month for it (10k miles per year) ...and given that it includes tyres/punctures etc, I thought that it was worth it at that price.

It seems the cost of maintenance scales up with the value / spec of the car. This is a rip off. Why does and I3 rex with 4 options cost more to service and run than a base i3 Rex ? Mileage I understand, but also 2.5 x the miles does not equal 2.5 x the cost, more like 4 x the cost.

Rip off.
