Hi,
I heard today from a dealer that the leaf is going to be increasing in price next month, can anyone confirm this or is it just an attempt to get me to purchase before the end of the quarter?
Thanks

@AndyG sums it up well, BEV driving is not really worthy of mainstream news (yet)!

The thread quoted is only 50+ pages of reading now. But in summary for anyone unaware looking at this there is a number of drivers of Leaf 40's reporting the rapid charging rate is poor and slow, particularly after a 1st Rapid charge, when your on the 2nd and 3rd charges of the day. Has been a major talking point on Twitter and presumably other social media, since Eco Cars tested and documented it last weekend.

I have just spoken to my dealer about this 'price increase'.

He says that NIssan HQ have just issued a diktat to all dealers advising them that they are withdrawing the PCH finance availability for the Leaf. No new PCH deals will now be accepted. This is due to the overwhelming demand for the car which has led to a lengthy backlog for build/delivery . Apparently until such time in the future that the order book has become manageable only PCP or cash purchase will be available via the dealerships.

It will be interesting to see what these PCP prices are and what this does to the 'demand' for the new Leaf

yeah, sounds right.. i have been trying to get a fixed date for an n-connecta on lease and i have been fobbed off for the last 6 weeks (deposit taken, then offered a refund as no firm date coould be aquired) it didnt take much to realise all the new leafs were going too purchasers and leasing was going to the back of the queue.

Long lead times do help used values, so you might get more for your old Leaf ;)
