Been Waiting for ages!
Parts dealers are finally getting in the official Niro EV 2022 Rubber Mat sets - The part number is: #AO131ADE10

I found a set on eBay: EMG Motor Group on eBay
They confirmed via email that they are genuine and correct for my new Kia Niro EV 3 2022 RHD
Will update when they arrive.....

I also bought the rubber ones from carmats.co.uk, for £34.99. They were delivered quickly, and they had the correct plastic clips/holes to fix them to the floor on the driver’s side. For £34.99, I really can’t complain. If I compare them to the BMW original ones which I had on my old BMW, I’d say that these ones look a bit utilitarian. My old BMW ones had a kind of deep tread, so that any water would sit in the mats rather than rolling off. My BMW mats also had a matt finish. The ones from carmats.co.uk are a bit shiny, so your shoes slide around and squeek a bit. But my BMW mats cost me £116, and that was 6 years ago, whereas these ones only cost me £34.99. My biggest issue with these ones from carmats.co.uk is that at the moment they give off a really pungent rubbery/oily smell which is quite unpleasant, so I hope it doesn’t take too long for that smell to disappear!

I am attaching a couple of photos of mine from carmats.co.uk.

OK I have recieveded my official Kia Rubber Mats - and co-incidently received CarMats.co.uk mats at the same time, which had got lost in the post over Christmas. So have had a unique chance to compare the Mats.
See my photos
  • CarMats and Kia Mats are the same pattern in front
  • Rear Mats - Carmats is one peice and deeper into footwell, Kia's is 2 pieces but cover the whole floor (see photos)
  • CarMats stink of rubber - industrial rubber, shiny and look like cut up rubber flooring.
  • Kia Mats look great, don't smell and are much thicker and better quality.

Needless to say I am keeping the Genuine Kia Mats and sending the CarMats ones back - for less than ÂŁ20 more they are in a different class.
(unless anyone on here wants to buy them?)

I have followed @Woodenbelly ’s lead. After having already paid £34.99 for all-weather mats from Carmats, I got fed up of the terrible rubber smell and cheap look, and I ordered the genuine Kia ones from the same Kia garage eBay account which Woodenbelly used. The delivery was quick. The Kia ones are indeed in a different class. Had I known that they were only £22 more than the Carmats ones, I would never have bought the Carmats ones. The only downside I have noticed, like Woodenbelly, is that the rear mats don’t go as far under the front seats as the Carmats ones do, which is a bit strange. But other than that, they look a lot more at home in a £40K car than the Carmats ones do.

Dumb question incoming from me so please be kind.

What is the main reason for people buying the rubber mats? Is it because they are easier to clean than the ones that come with the car? Or are there other benefits I'm not considering.

Most of us did not get any mats with the car!
Why Rubber? I live in the country

For boot mats, I bought one of these Sakura boot mats 6 years ago for my old car. It wasn’t quite long enough for my old car, but it’s a perfect fit for my Niro EV. It’s flexible, and you cut it to size. It’s still available from Amazon, for just £8.90. See Amazon.co.uk
@Mark-Surrey Thank you, purchased one and just installed it today.

Whilst on the subject of mats, anyone got a solution to protecting the area at the rear between the load space rubber mat and the rear bumper? I checked at the dealership, they only had an EV6 but there was some sort of flap available on that car. I did ask for the protector foils at the rear but those got forgotten on the order.

It is shown only on one of the 4 Niro accessories pages. There's one for generic Niro, one for Niro EV, one for HEV, and one for PHEV.
I found it on the generic one, which is the first one shown on the Kia UK accessories page.

Are those rubber mats the newer ones for the Niro?
In the Niro EV, the new non-rubber mats are a single piece in the back as there is no bump in the floor. I don't see any reason why the rubber ones wouldn't also be a single piece.
To me, these look like the 'wrong' mats for the newer Niro interior. But I am probably wrong.

All I can say is that my own mats are 3 pieces not 4.
2 for the front, and 1 for the back.
Earlier in this thread, there are pictures of the carmats rubber mats which are also 3 pieces not 4, and which fit 'better' with regards to larger and more under the front seat area.
It looks like Kia has tried to re-use something and not create a proper set for the new Niro. It should be much more like the carmats set, in 3 pieces, but of Kia quality.
