Hello Guys,

After installing a new GPS SD Card v10.85 Europe, the GPS freezes when driving and sometimes after a lot of time showing the loading symbol, the R-Link crashes and restarts. This only happens when the SD Card is connected. Already tried several SD Card, same problem. Radio software is up to date. Any ideas of what could be? Anyone had the same problem?

Thank you.

Hello @K1ck09 here is the file to update your rlink1 to 11346 xxxx

I cannot remember now if I updated mine by USB way or SD Card Way try USB way first:

USB way:
Get a 8GB memory stick and format it to FAT32
Put TOMTOM.000 file on the root of the stick
Put Zoe into 'Ready' on the dash (this is so radio does not turn off during update)
Put USB stick into Slot
Message should come up on rlink screen about updating
Updating could take 20-30mins updating time

SD Card Way:
Get a 8GB SD Card (do not use your map SD card) and format it to FAT32
Put TOMTOM.000 File on the root of the SD Card
Put Zoe into 'Ready' on the dash (this is so radio does not turn off during update)
Safely 'EJECT' your rlink MAP SD card from the rlink menu
Put tomtom.000 update SD card into Slot
Message should come up on rlink screen about updating
Updating could take 20-30mins updating time

If Rlink does not automatically reboot after update then force a reboot by pressing the HOME button to right of rlink screen 5 Times to manually reboot the rlink.

Good luck, here is the link to the TOMTOM.000 file:

R-Link support recommend doing a factory reset of R-Link and then adding the Europe SD card. Mine is finally working OK but does still have an issue with the GPS freezing for a short while after starting off, it usually catches up in a minute or so. I'm on 11.347.

not too sure but dont think it will work that way, may be wrong but I think the ones what ebay sell have got some kind of writeable CID system whereby you have to change the CID of the card , its not as easy as downloading 10.85 Europe from Torrent (which you more than likely can) but then you have to change the CID of the card for it to work in your zoe - I dont know how it works but if you can decipher this might help:

I might have the same issue with my 10.85 official Renault/TomTom sd-card. My Rlink system reboots spontaneously all the time. Sometimes it stays on for half an hour, sometimes 3 minutes and everything in between. When I leave the SD-card out it doesn't reboot.
The Renault site said there were some updates for my car so I prepped the SD-card for those. But now when I insert the SD-card it detects the update and starts it only to reboot again after a couple of minutes. So the software upgrade fails. I gave up on it but now I see this topic I might feel there's someone that knows what the heck to do about it.

Removing the fuse and putting it back in again (reminded me of the IT Crowd...) didn't help one bit unfortunately.

How did you guys get the 11.347 update? My Rlink is at 11.345, and if I enter my VIN into the renault site, it says no updates available. Googling for (ironically 11.345) I got a renault.co.uk site, where the VIN was in the URL and it says 'update available'; the link didn't work though. However, with this VIN in hand, I went to renault.nl, did a 'check for system updates' and with the copy/pasted VIN, it gave me a working 11.347 link. So now I have 11.347 in hand, but curious if it might be a bad idea to install it. renault says there's no update after all...

R-link is r-link and maybe renault figures 'you have 11.345, that's good enough to not do a firmware update risk?'

Hello Oliver,
Mine was also never updated since 2012. Via the R-LINK store I downloaded the Sd-card update tool. Than select the updates in the store and sync/install on card. After 3 times updating (back in car, back in update tool) and some patience it was uptodate.
Oh and if you want to upgrade your maps, don't use the Marktplaats Cards these doesn't work/scam ;)

Heh, I figured :)

My car thinks its up-to-date on all accounts, as does r-link toolbox and rlink-store. But there's a 'system update' which gets loaded to an USB drive which this thread was about. My version in the car is 11.345, whereas 11.347 is available. I have the file, just making sure I can upgrade it without issue, as the car things it doesn't need it.

As for maps, I'm willing to buy proper maps, tomtom, renault put in effort to make them. But the maps are 2 years old now (1075), so not paying money to update that :) 1085 seems to be in the 'illegal circuit' or from the dealer, but no idea why we can't download it. Maybe too small SD cards? Does 1085+ require 16G?

I tried to clone the card, but unlike all instructions, I ran (probably) into the CID issue, and haven't had the time to look into that.

Hi,
My 2017 ZE40 has version 11.341 and the clock is not showing the time. I'm trying to get the software update file. R Link says it can't locate the tracking information for my car so its not showing any updates being available. Car imported from France to New Zealand early 2018, and subscribed services show in the R Link store as active and have france as country of registeration. Does anyone have the file for version 11.344 (or maybe a later version might work) that I could have? Thank you
