Recommended bodywork repairer in London?

A car behind me gave a good solid shunt into the back of my Leaf. Doesn't seem to be much damage from casual inspection but I understand that internally the bumper may have deformed to absorb the impact and thus it still needs to be repaired. I'm not sure if I'll deal with it privately or via insurance (I suppose it depends on the cost). I contacted my local Nissan garage who said they outsource the repair anyway and gave me the contact for the company they use. I then contacted them and they said they charge ÂŁ35 fee for the estimate if I'm doing it privately and free if I'm doing it via insurance (sounds like a ploy to get more profit going via insurance). I then contacted another Nissan garage, who seemed a bit clueless. They said they'd give it a casual inspection but when I pressed them whether they'd be looking behind the bumper for other damage, they seemed very reluctant.

Anyway, is there a good recommendation for anyone in London (preferably, NW or N London) to do this repair?

Thanks

Unfortunately, I'm way up North from you, so can't help you much.

Normally a bumper will spring inwards until it hits the rear panel, then spring back. When you look at the car, all looks fine. It's when you look at the boot floor and rear panel that you see the real damage.

Just looking underneath my Leaf, I noticed there is a hole in the plastic undertray that you could look up into to see if there is any metalwork damage. You could also lift the boot carpet and see if anything looks "bent" and check that the boot closes the same as before. This is probably what a garage would do anyway.

There's not a lot behind the rear bumper of a Leaf and a fair distance between it and the rear panel, so you could be lucky and only have the damage that you can see.
