I updated yesterday after a friend told me of an OTA update he received for his new Kona. Can’t say I’ve noticed much difference from the previous update, I’ve not messed about with it much though.

 

Did the update gives you anything more that Android Auto/Google will give you when connected?

 

Good question. I'd need to check Google Maps to see how much of that info in the panel it gives you when running in Android Auto.

The one thing the Hyundai Nav definitely gives that Google Maps doesn't [yet] is integration with the charge level, in particular conditioning the battery before you arrive at a charger. Google Maps will search for chargers along a route but it's not doing that with any knowledge of where on the route to search. So for a long journey it's worth using Hyundai for that. On the other hand I've always trusted Waze/Google Maps traffic info a bit more.
