Zappi v2 - Help

Please could someone clarify what is the simplest method for just simply charging up my new e2008 with my new Zappi v2.

I leave the Zappi in Fast mode (as we don't have variable tariffs overnight, so didn't think Eco or Eco++ were necessary for me). Normally, I'd just take the connector out the front of the Zappi, uncoil some lead and plug it into the car.

Do I just plug in the connector to the car and it will start charging, or do I need to select Stop on the Zappi?

When I tried it the other day, I got into a muddle. I got it charging I think, but it wouldn't release the connector from the cars socket a few hours later. I tried double unlocking the e2008 but that didn't work. I went over to the Zappi and scrolled through to Stop and then it seems to release it. Is that how I should be doing it?

Thanks in advance. Sorry if this should be in the Peugeot e2008 area?

Fast is the dumb charger mode which is what your after. Plug in and charge. Eco and eco+ are for solar use. Once the car is full it should release the cable.
The car has to release the plug and should do if the charging is stopped on the zappi / zappi app/ Car or car app. I assume it can be stopped by the car or the cars app.?
If you do get a tou tariff then Fast and using the cars timer will work.

Davel82 - Oh so I could just leave the Zappi in Eco+ and setup a timer for 4 hours? I guess this is instead of just plugging it in to charge to 100% all the time? Is it not good to keep charging to full then?

There are a few reasons to use timers, one could be so that you can use solar charging through the day and also get full speed charging during a cheaper off-peak period over night. The other might be due to your supply capacity - if you have a limited incoming supply you might want to charge over night when there is less load.

I use the Octopus Go tariff, so stay in Eco+ mode and use Zappi timers to “boost” from 00:30-04:30 every night.
