Hi,

for those with a 2020 or 2021 Peugeot e-2008
do any of you know the battery status of health?
How is the range now the car is ~5 years old?
Any general reliability issues with the car?

is it a bad buy seeing as there are cars out there with bigger range and possibly more efficient with better aerodynamics

all comments welcome :)

our family has 2x E2008 GT's, our 70reg is on 42k miles, our 21regis on 27k miles. The Battery SoH was 95.6% and 97.4% when they were last checked in December, so not enough to really notice any difference in loss of range. the 70reg can still do up to 170 miles in summer and 130 in winter if driven in ECO mode.
only issues we had had, were an ABS wiring loom and faulty boot button (both replaced under warranty).Just had the 12volt batteries replaced, but at 4 years old, they were nearing the end of their reliable life.
you can get a 4 year old GT for under £15k at the moment, so they are a good 2nd hand purchase.
recommend a test drive, to see if you like the small steering wheel and 3d dashboard.

On my 2023 e208 I have the option of two user-configured ‘Personal’ instrument panels, alongside various other pre-configured ones. I have one of the personal ones configured to show the numerical SoC% (67% below) because the fixed battery ‘fuel gauge’ (on the left side) lacks any graduation and the ‘RANGE’ quoted is notoriously variable. It might be worth checking whether this was available on the e2008 stablemate you’re loooking at.

On mine, there’s a rotary dial on the left side of the steering wheel that cycles you through the different instrument displays. I can’t remember offhand how you do the configuration of the two ‘Personal’ screens. But it’s done in the car via the instrument display and, if I recall, steering wheel buttons.

It’s one of the design features of the 208 that I really like and with a physical dial on the steering wheel, is very easy to use. I often scroll to one of the other screens, depending on the driving situation I’m in.

That said, why they don’t put the SoC under the RANGE by default is beyond me.

Yes, it is similar on the E2008's, but models older than 2023 can't display the SOC as a % (other than when actually charging). You can personalise these user displays using the profile settings in the infotainment system, to show trip meters, miles per kwh, and energy consumption, etc. On the E2008, the toggle between the personalised displays is a rotary button on the steering wheel.
