My Ampera infotainment is stuck on Traffic announcement, I'm stuck with radio2 forever! Can't access HDD or any other radio. Tried to deactivate TA also turned car off and on again.
Any tips for resetting please? Thanks

Oh no hope it wasn't Chris Evans :p

Had simialr problem once or twice (over 4 years Ampera ownership) and found leaving car off for a while fixed.

If it's anything like the steering lock subsystem, there may be a fuse associated with it. Worth pulling the fuse, leaving for 5 mins & replacing it. Can't find what fuse might work as the web Volt manual seems to me to be broken, but maybe it's in the owner manual?

Good news. All part of the personality of the car ;)

One known bug is if you are on DAB station, turn volume to zero and power off car, the DAB often doesn't work when you power back on. Solution is to power off for a while - annoying and no fix according to my Ampera dealer. Workaround is use mute button rather than turn to zero.

Exactly what happened to me but I was stuck on Radio 1, and I didn't fancy that all the way back to Surrey.
I was on the threshold of disconnecting the 12v battery under instruction from Eden Vauxhall in Exeter, (I was in Cornwall at the time) , as I'd tried everything I could think of including resetting to factory settings. I left it to charge overnight, and it was all back to normal next day.
If a full charge doesn't do it, then working out which fuse it is on might be better than disconnecting the battery.

The other point is that this glitch and a handful of others in the first 6 months all went away after the software updates were all applied. Makes me wonder if some updates may yet to be applied.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I found something useful today... If you press Config while on the radio screen, and go into the radio settings (DAB settings menu I think), then something like Software Versions, there's a menu item at the bottom that says Reset Radio or words to that effect. Amazing what you find when you dig :)
