Hi to all
Is there anyone who currently owns a Kona Electric having any luck with Android auto connection on their Huawei phone. This seems to be a problem all round with a lot of Huawei models with various info media. Although some people are reporting no connection problems on some vehicles.
Just curious if the Kona media centre is Huawei friendly or hit and miss etc. Thinking of getting a new phone so want to pick the right one.

Cheers
Dave

I am using a Honor View 10 with AA on Zoe just fine. Very fast vs. my old LG G5. Is AA compatibility car dependant - annoying if so.

my Huawei mate 10 pro will not work in my partners seat arona with AA but her samsung s8 works perfectly. on investigation it seems that a wide range of huawei handsets are not working with AA on a variety of cars. Apparently a fix has been promised for well over a year now. I did not want to get the new huawei mate 20 pro if it has the same problem

Just ordered a mate 20 pro for delivery next Friday (launch day). So got fingers and toes crossed that it’s not going to be a pita with the Kona. Will update when it arrives

(Ordered it from Amazon so at least if it does not work I have 30 days to send it back)

Most usb ports outputting power have an overload prevention resettable "polyfuse". It could be that the p20 demands too much current and overloads the port which shuts down after a few seconds. The cheap cable may limit the current, perhaps by accident?
