Android Auto without the cable?

We are about to get an MG4 SE which can provide satnav etc. via Android Auto. This needs a physical cable connection to a USB port on the car.
Just wondering - is it possible to buy an adapter that fits into the car USB port with a bluetooth receiver, and then simply link the phone to it and do away with the cable?

Yea they seem to exist but never tried one. Pc mag did a review last month.

Personally if I'm in the car I probably want to charge the phone anyway so I use magnetic charge cables. You can almost throw the cable in the general direction of the charge port and it connects. So you can do it while driving without looking. It also means not risking damaging your charge port as you are not plug anything in and out all the time.

I like the idea of a magnetic cable. Got a brand or link so I can take a swatch?
