Don't get me wrong the Art Velours look nice but the standard GTI inspired tartan cloth seats set off the whole interior and in my opinion look much better.

 

I agree - pay more for bland seats when you get the legacy GTi series seats for no extra cost which look a whole lot better?

 

For a long time I thought I really wouldn’t like the seats and wished the Art Velours ones were cheaper.... car arrived, I love the seats, glad I didn’t change them!

Don’t get me wrong, I actually really like the standard seats, but only in the original GTI red. The blue just doesn’t have the heritage that the red does.

But that’s just me. I can understand people will love the blue GTE version.

 

Didn't want the tartan. I wouldn't buy tartan trousers or any other tartan item, I'm not Scottish so got the Art velours seat as I think it's nicer and classier. Original GTI red would be OK, but not needed on the seats just 'cos the first two letters are GT.
