Back seats fold flat

Hi, quick question for Passat GTE Estate owners please. On video reviews I've seen the back seats folded down, but not completely flat. I wondered if the seat base can be lifted up so that the backs can lie properly flat. If you can tell me that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Unfortunately not as battery needs all the space.

They do fold fairly flat though, I don't find it too restrictive

it is annoying that the seats cannot be completely flat and the passenger seat also cannot, recently I had to transport something long (+/- 2m) and that is not possible, rear seat 3/4 down and passenger seat also 3/4 down ... .. my passat estate is the gte 2019

It does seem crazy when had a number of compact vehicles in the past which would easily accommodate 2.4M lengths of timber!

passenger seat does not go completely flat, and that is a big mistake

On my tiguan back of the passenger wouldn’t go flat is the seat itself was raised.
