The ‘Battery Lease’ option will no longer be available in the UK. No, I think they stopped leasing them in 2021. I’m looking at a second hand one so the battery lease would be transferred to me. Apparently that’s fairly standard procedure for Renaults with lease batteries.

 

Hopefully the person/company you buy the car off will have some documentation noting the change to the new rate?

I wouldn't touch a lease with a bargepole these days. Expensive. Not necessary.

 

I agree with @booms above. Better without lease. There was some benefit to having EVAssist, although that 'may' come with the car, but it's guaranteed for the life of the lease. It may be enough to take out RAC/AA membership.

There have been some horrible tales about passing the lease on to the next owner (mine included), but if everything is done correctly, it can go quite smoothly.

Can the current owner find out what the lease would cost him to buy? At least you would then have an idea of what it could cost you.
