My 30kw leaf is just coming up to 1 year old, done 6000 miles now.
I purchased it in may this year (was ex demo with 3500 miles on it) & got leaf spy + dongle.
When i got it is reported batter soh @ 99% great i thought !, a month later was 98% just checked today and its at 96%
Any ideas why the quick drop ? I did do a range test last month and took the battery down to about 5%soc , could it be doing that is now recalculated the true figure ?

Judging by the amount of L2 charges it had when i got it it had been on charge every 26 miles !
(divided charge numbers by mileage )
I has only had 4 qc's , 2 by me

Almost certainly just calibrating itself.
Just checked mine and it's 94% SOH @ 7k miles and 15 months.
So I wouldn't worry as it does vary somewhat anyway.

My 30kWh Leaf is also presently of 94% SOH. Last week it was 95%, but it has recovered from 89% a few months ago.
It seems a few long runs exercising the battery with some rapid charges bought the figure back up. So 94/95 seems about normal.

Hmmm, both my 24kw and 30kw leafs have read 93% SOH from new. The 24kw was traded in after 3 years with the 93% intact, and my new 30kw came to me and showed 93% also. I am beginning to think its something to do with my dongle. I have never seen any variation no matter my driving or charging patterns

5% loss in year one feels pretty normal.

Intersting, I bought used in Jan this yr.. was 5k, now 7 mnths and 13k later it still shows 100%.. performance is still approx 1 mile per percent charge...so doesn't matter.. probably u wud go further on one charge!

I think the SOH is unreliable in the app. I've heard of instances where the SOH wasn't changing and reinstalling the app fixed it.

In my own case (2015 24kWh Leaf) the SOH is at 100% since day one and has never budged. However, the Ahr figure is down to 59Ahr's (65Ahr's when new), so clearly the SOH isn't accurate.

Normally not very much mileage just local trips. It does though get some longer runs between charges, say 85 miles (Scarborough to York and back or Scarborough to Leeds area with a top up on route.
When I first had it, old habits from the Gen1 died hard and I did used to top it up regularly to 100%. This year though I haven't done that so often and usually attempt to keep it between 30% and 80%. It would be handy if the 80% setting was still there as it would be more useful on the 30kWh whereas to get anywhere in the Gen1 I had to have it at 100% as I didn't want to risk having just a 45 mile range for a 45 mile trip! It's took me a year to accept that isn't an issue now which has no doubt helped its recovery. The drop back from 95 to 94 was after it hadn't been used for a week. I suspect if I do another long run and do a full rapid charge it might get up to 96.
One slight issue is it might have is that cell 35 is quite a bit lower than the others.

This was at the beginning of February this year:

Given I've got solar panels I do tend use them to charge if there is sufficient generation, so that might be for just an hour or two or most of the day depending on the weather.

The extra kWh does help one manage the battery better and Nissan seem more confident about these batteries given they've dropped the charge to 80% option. I wonder if any have got close to dropping a bar.

There must be some 30kwh taxis out there, and potentially pushing toward 100k miles already. It won't be long.

Remember that if a normal charge is made with the charging timer this is counted as two charges by the Leaf Spy app. (one when the chager is connected and one when the charge starts). Consequently it may only have been on charge every 52 miles! I suspect somewhere in between 26 and 52 miles a charge.

Just bought an ex demo 30kw leaf 3 weeks ago. First registered 17th March 2017. Had 2400 miles on it when I got it and have done about 1000 since. All the rapid charges were by me. I've attached the leafspy output which gives SOH 100% and 81.02AHr

What is the GIDS for the 30kw when new? Does the car need to be fully charged to get that from leafspy?

Anyone know why some of the cells are in blue?
