I've got a 225xe currently, with 10kWh battery, and 25ish on ideal conditions, that's a lighter car as well, and AWD (petrol front, BEV rear) slightly more efficient than having it all on one axle. Wouldn't think you would get much over 15-20 best case.

 

Do you have the 9.2kWh battery, or the larger 12kWh fitted to the later models? I assume the former as I think the latter was only fitted from 2020. I believe BMW keep approx 10% battery capacity in reserve to prolong battery life, so you should have around 8.2kWh capacity to use.

When in e-mode, you should be able to see the miles driven on the battery 'today', and the average miles/kWh that you've achieved. A quick sum should reveal what capacity the car thinks it has, and whether the issue might be your right foot. For comparison, I averaged 2.7 mi/kWh on a 7 mile journey today. That's about 2.6kWh, and used just under a quarter of the indicated battery charge. That all fits in well with a projected 28 mile range on a full battery at this time of year.

 

My 330e with the original 7kw battery averages around 17-18 per charge, as low as 13 in the winter months, and as much as 20 on hot days. However you have to be sympathetic to acceleration and driving modes in order to maximise potential. For example I'm used to getting this mileage when I'm driving, yet last week my wife used it for a short trip, only 12 miles, and used it all up! Obviously she was quite aggressive in accelerating which especially in a small battery makes a huge difference.

 

With my 2020 225xe in Portuguese winter (~10-15ºC) I can make approximately 28-30 miles driving light foot (8.8kWh battery usable). What I've been noticing is that the total mileage from a full battery is dropping consistently over time, which are not good news...

 

I have a 2018 BMW 530e. My range estimates started dropping to 9 or 10. I reported this to my dealership and asked them to test the battery pack. They found a bad cell and replaced the entire battery pack. Now I am back to estimates of 16-18 and actual of 14-16 (our weather right now is excellent around 60s Fahrenheit but I tend to drive spiritedly).

So the decline could be a bad cell.

 

Did they replaced all modules (I believe the pack contains 6 modules)? The entire pack or just the module that was faulty?

 

Yes...much to my surprise, they replaced all six modules.

 

You're very lucky to have your dealer replace your battery. I have a 2019 530e which only gets 9-10 miles (about 50% of original capacity) on a full charge. This started immediately after the dealer did warranty work on my A/C which they had to remove the battery to access the A/C. (I was getting the full 19 miles on a charge before I brought my car in for the A/C warranty work.) Every time I complain to my dealer, they say this is "normal wear and tear". I am still under my EV battery warranty, but the dealer and BMW won't honor it. Does anyone have any suggestions.

 

Have the battery tested and see if you have a failed module. I believe there is an app that works on an iphone that can determine the health of the battery. If it started after they had worked on the car then it must be related.
