Change limit for ac charging? Bmw

Total beginner question ; ix3 charging for first time, giving a silly amount of time for charge (in days).

From looking at some threads ascertained the max ac charge of 6A is too low, and it can be changed in the car rather than elsewhere. How do I find a correct limit to set?

Any advice very much appreciated and sorry if this has been asked a million times, I did try to search a little!

iX3 has the ability to charge at 7kW from a single phase supply, or 11kW from a 3-phase supply.

The vast majority of UK homes have single phase supplies so 7kW (32A) is as fat a charge as you can get from most home chargers.

The only reason to limit the charge at the car end is if you are plugged into an iffy supply on a granny charger so the house circuits/sockets don't cook.

As Koda says, since you have a definitive car charger set the car to maximum.
