I've just ordered a Chargemap card in prep for a trip thru France later this year. It's supposed to now link to the Tesla App to allow charging at Tesla stations by adding the Chargemap card to the Tesla App wallet. I cannot do this. When I go in to the Tesla App (I have an account set up) and try to add my validated Chargemap card there is no option to do this. Only options are to add a bank card or BACS and Apple Pay (which is currently the default). I have ran thru my Tesla account to make sure all my address info etc is registered and can see no problem.

Has anybody else linked the 2 apps or have a possible solution to my issue?

To be honest, the Chargemap Tesla access is utterly pointless. You add it as your payment method instead of a bank card. The only possible reason you might want to do that is to have a record of your Tesla payments in your Chargemap account. Also, you might find something like Electroverse cheaper for France than Chargemap.

 

Just to add to my comment above, I think you may need to change the address of your Tesla account to a French one to make it work. Makes it doubly pointless.
