"Clunk" from rear

Anyone else get a "clunk" noise from the rear when they hit a reasonable bump in the road? There's nothing loose in the boot, and the parcel shelf appears to be seated correctly.

I see this is only an hour old.
Did you post the same comment elsewhere or is there another clunker?

I had a Techno with me and all the crap from the hidden compartments has been thrown into the cable trough.
No clunks si far but will be putting dom air in tyres tomorrow as not onevtyre is correct and I find it difficult to understand how people can drive it like that and not know.

Need to do a few miles so will listen out.

The other day I had to take a large bag of green waste for recycling. the bag was so big it filled the boot area and I had to take the parcel shelf out. I discovered the cords that connect the shelf to the hatch, are elasticated. I wonder if this shelf moves because of the elastication. Just a thought. Perhaps we should drive without the shelf to see if we still have a cluck.

The car was in the dealer yesterday for the Alarm and Clunk. The alarm issue is not resolved, been told to monitor it and count the number of beeps when I turn it off. Watch this space.

Clunk - was shown a communication from Renault saying not to fix or replace any parts. They are in the process of designing and manufacturing new 'bump stops' which will be replaced at a future service recall event.

Thanks for the update - will be interesting to see if my dealer comes up with the same response when they look at mine in a couple of weeks.

Either way, nice to know a recall is coming.

I'll let them pick my car up with 5% battery and no f^◇■|♧g charge cable, see how they like it.

Well if they replace and fit bump stop as qiuckly as my mat replacement, I will have sold the car by then.

I love the car, but Renault Customer Care is sadly lacking, certainly from my perspective.
I'm going to be taking ownership of a new Mégane in a couple of weeks, having just sold my Hyundai Ioniq 5 back to the dealer due to it being off the road since the middle of January and taking them six weeks just to diagnose the fault.

Both they and Hyundai think this is perfectly acceptable and have said no compensation is warranted, so personally, I'll take Renault's customer service at this point!

Car was in at the dealers today. Not much to report, they confirmed they could hear the noise on the test drive, but couldn't replicate it in the workshop. They suspect that it's the suspension stops, but apparently Renault need more details so it'll have to go back in for a couple of days for further investigation. Courtesy car will be provided.

I've noticed that as the weather is getting warmer, I'm hearing the noise less often (although it does still occur). I wonder if whatever is "clunking" is made of a temperature sensitive material?

I understood it was now an agreed issue that the bumpstops are no good, need to be replaced and a recall is on its way.

Interesting! I adjusted mine earlier this afternoon (just one "click" seemed to do it) and the boot does seem to show a little less freedom of movement when it's closed. Was out driving for an hour or so and didn't notice the clunk, but I didn't really come across any clunk-inducing bits of road - will test further but 🤞

Has anyone got any update on the bump stop fix? Mine was in on Friday and was told that they had looked at the car on the ramp, couldn't see anything and to see "how it goes"........well it goes just the same and clunks when coming off of speed humps. I was wondering if there was any sort of code or similar I can take to the dealer, or do you think it is better to ring Renault direct and hope for the best? I live on an estate where I have to drive over around ten speed bumps in either direction, so its a bit of an annoyance on a car just a few weeks old. Thanks in advance
