Pretty sure it does, isn't that the shelf that your phone goes flying off, when you launch it. 🙂

 

That's for wireless charging, not sure if it has wireless Android Auto. I think when my phone went flying during a Trophy test drive, I decided if I was going to buy one I'd use a cable anyway- mostly to hold the phone still!

 

Doubt it - all other MG models have wired AA/Carplay only.

Saw a post on the Facebook forum where someone got a dongle (? from AliExpress or Amazon) that allowed wireless connection though.

 

The trophy version does, so if it is the same spec iwould say so.

 

Trophy has wireless phone charging but is still a wired connection to run AA and Carplay afaik.

Happy to be corrected by someone with a Trophy.

Have been previous threads mentioning the same thing.

 

I have a Trophy and can confirm a dongle is needed for wireless AA/Carplay.

 

I must admit,I don't see the attraction to wireless carplay/android auto....if I'm in the car,I may as well just plug it in and get proper fast charging as well

(My cupra does have wireless AA but I automatically plug it in everytime I get in the car)

 

I just watched a YouTube review of the X Power, and they said it didn't have wireless carplay or android auto. Doesn't bother me, due to the aforementioned shelf which won't hold the phone if you drive above 12mph, and because I mostly use it for navigation on a long journey, and my phone battery wouldn't last long - GPS uses a lot of energy.
