Hi
I am considering purchasing this car but would like
Confirmation that I can programme the app to charge only during the 12:30 to 04:30 period.
I've learnt to take nothing for granted when it comes to EVs.
Thanks

All Stellantis* EVs let you set a start time, but that's all. No stop time, and no duration. It'll just stop when it hits 100%.

If possible, you're better off setting a timer on your home chargepoint - all new ones are required to be smart, and all smart ones let you set a start and stop time. Also, you won't come back to your car after lunch at a motorway services to find it hasn't charged as it's waiting until 00:30!

*Stellantis was formed by the merger of PSA (Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Vauxhall, Opel) and Fiat Chrysler (Fiat, Chrysler, Jeep, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Dodge). All European Stellantis EVs, except the Fiat 500e which was designed by Fiat Chrysler before the merger, use the exact same PSA platform - even the upcoming Fiat 600e - with the same app, the same flaky software.

See my experience below: Calling all fellow electric voyagers! Gather 'round for a tale of technological turbulence on the high voltage seas. Picture this: you're cruising in your electric chariot, basking in the silent glory of emission-free travel, when suddenly, your EV media screen plunges into darkness. No sat nav. No climate control. No media control. Ever felt like losing sanity over your EV? Now, dear comrades in current, I find myself compelled to inquire about your electrifying adventures. How many times, in the span of 15 months, have you, too, had your precious EV whisked away for a spa day of system updates? Has your electric panel ever pulled a Houdini, plunging you into a darkness darker all while you're mid-drive? Has your EV battery stopped charging to 100%? As for yours truly, I've been dancing the electric jitterbug with a DS3 E-Tense, and let me tell you, it's been a rollercoaster ride – emphasis on the "coaster" part. In a mere 15 months, I've become a frequent flyer at the dealership, visiting six times to coax the media panel back to life or trying to figure out why the battery had stopped charging to 100%, first charging only to 98% and decreasing all the way to 85%. Picture this: you're cruising along, tunes blaring, and suddenly your dashboard decides it's time for an unscheduled intermission. It's like being on the Titanic, but instead of sinking, you're left adrift in a sea of digital uncertainty. So, my electrified comrades, share with me your tales of triumph or tribulation. Is my DS3 E-Tense's misadventure a solo act, or are we all aboard the electric nightmare express? Are electric cars just four-wheeled vessels of vexation? Let's embark on this digital discourse and uncover the shocking truths that may lurk beneath the surface of our silent steeds. Enlighten me, dear drivers, for together we shall navigate the currents of electric uncertainty.

OK, so I went ahead with the purchase and manage the off time by setting the phone alarm for 4:30am and changing the charging switch to deferred charge (00:30 the next morning). This is ok-ish as I can do it without getting out of bed. Anyway my dumb charger can be fitted with a time switch which will cut power to the charger at say 04:30 however will this damage the car in any way or does ending charging have to be done in an ordered way? Anyone have ideas? Thanks
