Is it just me, or is the 2018 Mk VII e-Golf manual one of the worst I've ever encountered in 55 years of driving? The information, if you can find it at all, is sparse, fragmented and inadequate. The index does not contain some important items (or they are under some obscure name). The text seems to consist of more boxes with notices, warnings and troubleshooting than actual useful information. At 300 pages plus 3 supplementary booklets it's far too long with far too little real information.
For example, try to find out a description of exactly what "departure time" is supposed to achieve. Is it just to make sure that the battery is adequately charged on time or is there more? (yes there is) Why does it have to be set in order to take advantage of economy-7 electricity, or does it? Why is the description of the e-Manager on page 32 when all the other information on charging is on pages 190-199?
