Hi All

im the owner of a base spec 22 Eniro 64kwh in yatch blue. We really love the car and have a couple of years left on the lease, but given the long lead times and general interest we're always looking at new to market cars to see what we may go for next time.

Ive had a proper look at the spec sheet for the new NiroEV 2 and a few things really stick out -

Link to New spec sheet

1) the new base model 2 doesn't have alloy wheels according to this spec? (might this be an error?)
2) no car play / android auto wireless
3) manual door mirrors (current 2 has auto folding).
4) no privacy glass
5) NO YATCH BLUE :(((
6| no rear arm rest cupholders (the kids would hate this)

in other areas it looks like a better car such as in boot capacity and small range increase and a flatter charging curve on DC but im struggling to see the upsides for us (though we will have to had the current car back in 2025 so im just scratching around for some good news!

Has anyone got the new 2 trim yet?

Thanks

The 2 does have Android Auto & Apple Car Play, but not wireless - It does not however have built in Sat Nav so phone mirroring is pretty much essential.

There a look round video of the 2 trim here - it does seem to have alloys and cup holders

I think you're looking at the hybrid spec. The EV spec 2 has alloy wheels, Car play/AA. I think there's cup rests in the rear armrest too.
Correct no privacy glass in the back.

Go back to your link, select the download option and on that PDF scroll through the first few pages to reach the EV spec and you'll find some of what you are missing...

The web page spec list is wrong on a few points for the EV.

I ordered a Niro EV 2 a few weeks ago, then cancelled it. Here's the main differences compared to 3 (not exhaustive list):

Apple Carplay - Wired Only
No SatNav (so battery won't pre-condition if car knows its heading to a charging point)
No Climate Fan Outlet for Rear Passengers
No Folding Mirrors
No Front Parking Sensors
No Integrated Virtual Dash - you get 2 separate screens instead
No Gloss Wheel Arches
No Charging other objects using car battery
No optional heatpump

And I save the best til last

No App Connectivity (so no pre conditioning while you're still in the house for example, no checking SoC while having coffee at the rapid charger stations etc)

I ended up cancelling the order due to the last point - app connectivity

BTW all three, 2, 3 and 4 come with the same 17 inch EV alloys.

I thought about 2 or 3 and ended up ordering 2. Of the differences the only ones that interest me are battery preconditioning and ventilation in the back. But they aren't worth that much to me.
I don't care for built in sat nav, Google maps via AA is better and wired is fine as wireless canes the phone battery.
Gloss wheel arches, app connectivity etc just doesn't interest me at all. It's still going to be the nicest car I've ever owned (with the possible exception of my Alfa Romeo MiTo - I loved that car).
