e-Niro vs. Niro EV - interior space and other differences

We are wanting to look at the above as news used; they are available here in Portugal at around €30-32k for the old model (e-Niro) and pushing €40k for a Niro EV (new is from €43.5k).

Unfortunately the nearest place we find any available seems to be Lisbon, which is close to 300km up the road; taking a quick look is an expedition.

How is the difference in interior space between the two generations of Niro? We are tall people (189 and 176cm), and for shorter trips we would like to be able to bring our even taller son without too much moaning.

Other differences? For €10k I can live with the frumpier look ;-)

We had the choice of old or new and went with new for many reasons. Its a little bigger inside, a little better at charging, the interior is a step up, the exterior design is an improvement (though there’s nothing wrong with the old one), a new one of course has all of its warranty, more boot/frunk space, etc. In total that made it worth it to us, but if I was mostly concerned with interior space I’d be tempted to save my money - it’s bigger, but the old one was already surprisingly spacious.

FRUNK. eNiro ❎ NiroEV ✅
Hydro Bonnet stays eNiro ❎ Niro EV ✅

Drive Mode switch and LDW switch on Steering Wheel on Niro EV

Personal choice, went for a “Grey Pack” on Niro EV, like lighter interior

Couple of other minor improvements

Definitely roomier in back

I like the flexible / removable parcel panelbas opposed to the roller blind which I detested. Many have an opinion the other way round
Happy hunting 👍
