Ps searching for sos didn’t bring anything up and ecall brings up endless threads about recalls!

Well mine due in June so I will ask for the old one back, I am curious what it is, probably a rechargeable.

I believe from previous posts that it is a button cell like the remote.

 

It was a listed item in my three year service last week.

 

I have just wasted another three hours going back to Furrows today to have the battery replaced that they should have done during the service.

It is a standard 3.6v rechargeable cell same as in laptop battery packs etc so will be dead easy to replace next time with a sensibly priced alternative.... Once I've identified where the recall unit is, probably behind the glovebox.

 

My FE 20 was in for a service on Wednesday and the e-call battery was on back order.

They reduced the quote by £160 for not being able to supply it. HOW MUCH!!!!!!!!

 

£60 for the part and £75 for half an hour labour plus Vat and you wouldn’t be far off that price or £5 for a cell from eBay

 

Dose anyone know where the battery is located?
