I would imagine it would be similar to the E-Niro? On that there is a little rocker switch right at the front of the drivers door armrest control panel. It is middle for Auto, Left for always folded and right for always open.

I just altered mine the other day to stop it trying to actuate whilst the mechanism is frozen solid. Could presumably easily burn out the stalled motor? HTH. Peter

 

ah you gave me hope. Sad to say it don’t work on my mine Still thanks for a suggestion. Oh nothing in the manual I have looked.

like an idiot I have been proved wrong yet again. However it was in my defence purely illogical.But thank you that has worked like a charm.

 

On the driver's door, there is a switch to choose which side mirror you would like to adjust the position of. If you leave this switch in the middle, the mirrors will not close when locked.

I’d really like to be able to fold my mirrors in when doing say 15 mph. Would be very useful on narrow Yorkshire lanes….
You only seem to be able to do it when at pretty much a dead stop.

 

Further question about the mirrors (EV4) - is the glass electrically heated? Reason I ask is that mine never clear when covered in morning dew or, as recently, ice, However my previous KIA Ceed, which wasn't top level spec, was very efficient at clearing them.

 

You have to have the rear screen demister switch activated
