Electroverse App Playing Up

Have National Grid upgrading our power supply at the moment. Driveway’s dug up so no home charging for a week.

The Mrs dropped into Costa in Oakham last night to fill the car for the weekend. (The Instavolt chargers next door at McDonalds appear to have all had their cables nicked)

She said she couldn’t get any of the chargers to work - Part of the issue is that the chargers there are numbered in the Electroverse App but not on the units themselves.

Anyway, I noticed in the App this morning that 2 out of 3 (presumably the ones she tried last night and one I used ages ago) are hanging at “Starting”.

All 4 were showing as available so it’s a problem with the App.

I’ve popped down this morning to finish the job so the screenshot shows the unit I’m currently charging from at the bottom, but I can’t clear the in-App status of the one from last night…..and one that appears to have been hanging since it was last used some time ago.

Trying logging in and out and clearing the Cache from the in-App settings.

Anyone had similar and know how to fix?

It's mental that there's no label on each charger to identify it in a way that tallies with Electroverse.
Perhaps the sure fire way is by using the Electroverse card rather than the app but do those even work with the card?

I've had trouble with those chargers myself - though in my case, they wouldn't correctly read my electroverse card, and in one case my credit card either. However, the second one did at least read the credit card OK. Not your problem, but they seem a rather flaky setup if anyone was planning to use them.

Hi, Yes identical problem when in France, also experienced this issue when charge had commenced ok, but then app 'letgo' and had no way to stop the charge.
Electroverse customer services blamed me the user.... !
Contact Electroverse to have sessions closed down.

Had a problem with both the Electroverse app and the card at Eurotunnel Calais today. I had to move the car to another bay before it worked (using the app). Of course it could have been the specific Engie unit that was the issue, not Electroverse.

It just seems to me that once a session initialisation fails, for whatever reason, you can find yourself on a downward spiral where the problems accumulate. At which point it’s better to shift bays and start again. When we got home to the UK, I later looked at the Electroverse listing for Eurotunnel, and the initial bay was showing as out of service. So perhaps I stymied it in some way.

To be fair, an Electroverse charge session yesterday on an Allego at a cinema complex in Liévin (Lens) worked perfectly, using the app. So perhaps today was just a one-off.

I’ve found that on balance, the Electroverse app has been more reliable than the card. And that charging at Tesla with their app has been more reliable than either of the Electroverse methods.
