The FastNed site at Cutler Heights Lane in Bradford opened yesterday. Six chargers are showing on the Electroverse although the numbering would suggest it’s (intended to be) eight. 400kw so great for all those Taycans in Bradford 😜

(Be warned I think it’s a reach newspaper):

Cutler Heights Lane... are they pre-empting the inevitable cable thefts?! (I know Bradford a little too well, having lived within about 8 miles of it. It has... shall we say, a "reputation".)

Any movement on the Newark-on-Trent OK Diner Site?

That must be their first 400kW Alpitronic site in the UK. Cool

Swung by the Houghton Colliery site (just off the A690) this morning on my way north; the highway works appear to be complete (bays all marked/painted), but I couldn't see any charging infrastructure to speak of. It's a no-canopy site as well AFAIK.

Fantastic! Although there is also the MFG hub already there.

Could have done with something like this at Edinburgh airport even though there is charging only 10 mins away.

I noticed today that the new FastNed site in King's Lynn was open. I never saw any cars there, probably because it doesn't appear on ZapMap yet. I didn't take a close look, but it looks like four posts with 8 parking places. The chargers are marked 300 kW so I assume they are 800 volt. Currently 74p/kWh. They are close to the A47/A17 junction, just follow the route to the Premier Inn.

Ooh that’s a great location… (for me anyway!!) though the Sainsbury’s chargers had already plugged the gap… Fastned = good though.

yes indeed. We are normally heading to Sherringham/Cromer way - and there’s nothing (save some Ospreys at fakenham) around there.
Indeed the East Anglian charging desert is slowly getting better, but there’s still a lot of gaps on key routes / roads. Way better than it was 7 / 8 years ago when I first got an EV but unfortunately it’s still pretty backwards in both mindset and coverage. Though there are oasis in both depending where you look.

My mum has been staying near the coast in Suffolk this last week and I thought she would probably be stuck grazing on AC posts, but she found an 8 charger Instavolt site at a farm shop a couple of miles from where she is staying. I was quite impressed!

I know the one. Nice farm shop too. That bit of the A12 is alright. It’s worse inland.

There are a few Tesla destination chargers scattered around and some Geniepoint AC chargers in Wells (unless they've been removed as I can't see them on ZapMap), but that's all there is on the coast between one rapid in Hunstanton and one rapid at Morrisons in Cromer. Possibly there's not enough power available, but I would have thought Burnham Deepdale would be a good place for a small hub next to the garage and Coop.
