So my first venture out on the motorway with my e-golf. I stopped at Hartshead Moor services (M62 westbound). Chose the charger cable, plugged it in, pressed start. To my surprise it started charging so I went to get a coffee assuming it would ask for payment when I got back. 20 mins later I stopped the charger, unplugged and drove away. no payment asked for.
Have I got away with a free charge or does it record the number plate?
i must admit it was in a bit of a state. Cables lying on the ground, chucked away as though it wasn’t working, but it worked great for me.
