Graphene is approaching the near apocryphal status of fusion energy. It is the material of the future, and probably always will be.

"Unlike the first-generation graphene, the new 2.0 graphene is functionalized to enhance specific tire performances. In other words, where the first generation of graphene compounds raised the bar evenly, Graphene 2.0 pin-points each performance metric, and increases it disproportionally to the rest. "

I'd like to know what they mean by 'graphene'. It does not sound like the stuff we are talking about.

As for the trial build on the race car, clearly if they make a prepreg then anyone can make a composite with it. What does the graphene do? Does it make it better? Where can I buy this product, manufactured from graphene doped prepreg?

One single application, in a one off car, built for one specific purpose, of unknown benefit and unknown unreported properties, does not make a material 'a material of today'. It is like I said; 'a material of the future'.

OK, so let it never be said that I am not one to move forward and change my view.

I HAVE found a practical commercial use, and oddly enough it is precisely because I was idly considering purchasing a product with it in and not realising!!

Here's the thing that it can be commercialised to do;-

and here is a product that uses it;-

... Cool!! (pun intended)
