Just brought my car back from the dealers and I discovered I had HDA2 switched on.
I have tried this again and can no longer find this.
Anyone know where I can find how to switch this on again?

I think it only comes on when you are driving on roads with the characteristics to support it (e.g. motorways). Then it is enabled automatically when you set cruise control. It’s not available all the time (at least on my GT-Line S)

I think you guys are talking about 2 different noise generators. The VESS is a safety feature that is supposed to play a warning sound to pedestrians when manoeuvring to warn them of a "silent" car's presence. The other sound that I think @WarwickBoy is referring to is the configurable sounds that can make you believe you are piloting a space craft whilst travelling at warp factor 9 on the Motorway (rather childish and highly unnecessary IMO). Gordon is talking about the VESS.

As others have said. HDA on Kia and Hyundai vehicles activates when you enable smart cruise control on a motorway or major dual carriageway. If you set smart cruise at the correct speed limit you'll enable 'Auto HDA' and this will automatically enable other autonomous features like Lane Follow Assist at the same time.

If you take a look at the manual for your car, it will outline the exact capabilities of HDA on your model, as some are more advanced than others.

HDA2 only functions on Motorways it is connected to navigation in some way. When on Motorway it does everything. I guess it is dependant on road classification on mapping whether you get it. So n the BMW i3s I have a auto steer mode for queuing traffic upto 35mph. Similarly only works on Motorway. Dual carriage ways and other roads it does not work. Really should get vehicle coded to enable on other roads. 🤔
