I am strongly looking at a 13 plate leaf. I have only 9k to spend. What I would like to know is would I be buying a load of trouble.
The leaf's i find on the w w w dont seem to last long before they are gone.
Thanks Guy's and Gall's

If you wanted to make a quick return on your money it would sell for a lot more today. Not many Leafs hanging around in the £10k range, I had three cars slip away from me in the time I was trying to buy mine. A huge amount of interest in EVs since the fuel supply issues, fuel price increases and general heightened awareness that EVs are here to stay. Looks like you bought well at £5.6k!

The Leaf is well screwed together and feels a lot newer that it's age suggests. No rattles etc. All I would say is the brakes are the weak point with reduced use vs ICE so require more maintenance, for example, the handbrake/drum assembly/stuck front lower caliper sliders etc. Still have to replace one of the handbrake cables which I'm getting from the states cos Nissan UK is a rip off. Cheers!

I like the original LEAF (we have two) but feel that they are significantly overvalued given the issue with battery degredation which occurs both due to how they are treated and to age. Get LEAFSpy and check the true state of your battery before considering any purchase. Ask yourself can you cope with the range based on the remaining battery less 20% at 3.5 miles/kWh in Winter at 50MPH max. If the answer is Yes then fine, if No then walk away.
FWIW private valuations on LEAF24 are stupid IMHO, compare them to WBAC or Motorway. LEAF30 valuations are more realistic.

Yeah, that is a lot. I bought my '64 plate 24kWh Leaf with 18k on the clock less than 3 years old in 2017 for £9k. That's over 4 years ago. 5k is what I'd expect the car to worth today.

I'd thought 9~10k today should be in Leaf 30kWh region.

They are generally well put together, I've had no issues. Try to get a black interior version meaning it's UK built with newer battery chemistry.

When 5 years old, the service book states coolant renewal is due. So check and make sure it was done.

I've even seen a Leaf30 at £7k earlier this year....

When were the trim descriptions changed from Visia/Visia+ to Acenta/Tekna? I too would be surprised to find a Japanese LEAF with all of its bars.
