Hi Folks

Ive part exchanged my 2017 Nissan Leaf Tekna 30Kw and since yesterday have a 2021 (12) E- Niro 64Kw. I am at present charging using the granny 3 pin charger at 2.3 kw (this is fine for the present). I set the charge to be scheduled from 0030-0730 off-peak only. But the charging lights appear to show it charging as soon as I plug the granny charger in. Am I making a mistake by thinking the 3 green lights flashing (2 solid and one flashing) is a sign that its charging ?

Also - I have retained the OBD I used with the Leaf - is there an app like LeafSpy for the e-Niro?

Its back to the classroom for me having owned Leafs since 2015!

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

The 3 green lights on the dash suggests it is charging. It should also pop up on the speedo screen showing the charging power in kW I think? The green lights will also illuminate to show when the 12V is being charged (whilst the car is off). This happens for 20m once a day if car is parked unused. (Providing you have the Aux battery saver+ enabled, which it certainly should be)

Sorry I’ve never used the in car charge timer in over 4 years, I use my Zappi to control my charging. Maybe someone else can help with that one?

The most popular app for OBD seems to be “Car Scanner”. It covers many different makes and models but will require some setting up in order to display the parameters that you need.

I don’t know if there is an app, more focussed on Kia, like leaf spy appears to be for Leafs. Again maybe someone else can chip in for that.

PS There is Kia Connect app, but this can only work if your Eniro supports the on line system, via the Kia servers. Which model of Eniro is it?

Mine is older than yours (2020) and has Kia Connect. It’s not about age, it’s about which model you have.
mine is the version “4”. Yours might be the 2, 3, 4 or 4+. AFAIK, all come with Kia Connect online service except the “2”. Someone will correct me if that is wrong. Which version number is yours?
Glad you resolved the timer thing. Cheers Peter
