Intelligent Octopus - bump charging?

Has anyone had any success with this? I used an IOG schedule last night to charge the car to 80%. This morning I discover I need to have a charge of 100% for a longer journey. Just pressing the bump charge button in the Octopus app doesn’t seem to do anything. We have a Zappi EVSE which is integrated with Octopus, not the car being integrated.
TIA for any info.

Charge limit in car reset to 100%.
No timers set as I always use IOG.
Zappi in ECO+ mode.
If I change the Zappi to fast mode, by the time I’ve gone back to the car and plugged it in, Octopus have reset the Zappi to ECO+

Update: I suddenly remembered that leaving the Zappi in ECO+ mode and pressing the “+” button on the Zappi, will star a charge. So I have overcome the problem but still intrigued how to get the bump charge going.

From time to time, a visitor does daytime charging. Usually I use bump charge, which has worked fine, but it takes a little while to confirm / actually start.

This last time, in advance I turned off smartcharge in the Octopus app, then put the Zappi into fast mode. (As you say, you can't do that while Octopus are in control.) Then we could start the charge locally as soon as the car plugged in, which was rather easier all round.

As Harry has said, changing the Zappi to anything other than Stop when smart charging is enabled on IOG will result in Octopus setting it back to ECO+.

When you do a bump charge, IOG tells the Zappi to add a certain amount of kWh, the same as setting it to Boost in the MyEnergi app.

In future, if you need a charge after 5:30am but before 11am, try just setting the charge to add, IOG might just give you a cheap slot (if you already charged overnight, go and unplug and replug the car in to reset the Zappi 'charge added' counters otherwise it wont work). Failing that, I'd just turn off smart charge in the Octopus app and charge the car using the Boost setting in the MyEnergi app as its more reliable to go direct.

Lol - totally forgot to say that! I rambled on in one answer about how I do that when I need to charge my own car in the morning but forgot to apply that to Scratchy's problem. Must be time for a cuppa!
