Keyless Entry

The automatic unlock is in the menu as hands free. Worth turning it off and on again to see if that fixes it.

Mine works ok all the time. Check the light on the EPB comes on when you get near the car. If it doesn't then there's something wrong.

That doesn't make sense, mine is the Elite Nav so should have it! Think I need to get in touch with out dealer....
This is the thing. The earlier cars don't have it. It's in the user manual but isn't on the car. Some of the later cars do have it. The July user manual has unlock by phone in there which isn't actually available. It's a mess frankly. When I bought my first one I was told it didn't have the welcome unlock (but if you leave the auto lights on then it does the welcome lighting (!) ) so it's obviously some software difference. My current one does have it and I did specify I wanted a later built car that did have it.

What did the dealer say when you got the car?

Keyless entry is the button touch one. Handsfree is the approach unlocking where you don't need to do a thing. They are different. If it just says keyless then technically you have got keyless. It's just not the keyless you thought. I'd go back to the dealer and ask them about handsfree and whether there is an update. It does work massively better than the standard touch entry.

I'm quickly coming to the conclusion that Vauxhall are either hugely incompetent or really don't give a monkeys about customer care at all. The brick wall I've had with them trying to get ANY of the issues I've had fixed. Not one has been fixed by them. The only one that has been resolved was due to changing car as it removed the issue with the appalling keyless!

The handsfree does exist as I have it on the car I have. I still haven't found out when it was actually built either. The software date was March anyway so it's not as if they've updated that.

The July 2020 user manual says you can unlock the car with a phone app. Still not available. The handsfree was actually advertised as working in the January 2020 one so they have a history of being inaccurate.

Faulty keyless was reported by my Dealer about their demo cars March/April of last year. Nothing has changed. The handsfree unlocking hid the issue as for some reason as that seems to just work.

Boot button always works. It's only the door handle that's difficult. Handsfree always works. I've not had the mystery tizz failure where nothing works to unlock the car and you have to use the metal key. A few have had that.

That's the thing the keyless on the side works for me now, but as I said I dunno if it's because I'm using the boot and button so much that it doesn't get as much time to show up it's failings

I've had it where the only thing to open the car is the boot including the fob. That was annoying

I used to use the handle a lot in the first Corsa and although it was stupidly unreliable and infuriating it never got into the state where the remote didn't work either.

If you can get the handsfree update then get it as it's so much better on this later one.
