Hi, I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this issue. Our Kia connect app is no longer connecting to the car, It last updated on Christmas Eve and not at all since then. The message we get is “The vehicle does not respond to the service you requested”.

I believe that the Apple iOS app had an update which I suspect caused this but I am not sure. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app but no progress. We have reported this to our Kia dealer who said they were aware of the issue with a few customers but couldn’t advise on fixing it. They said their tech people are looking into the issue.

I’d be very grateful if anyone had any experience of this or had resolved it. Thanks in advance.

Has the car been parked unused for a few days? My Eniro always fails to respond to the UVO server if left untouched for about a week or more. Driving the car usually restores normal connectivity. Occasionally I have to reset the head unit with the little flush reset button. Peter

I’m getting problems continually with Kia Connect. I would say it connects 1 in 5 tries if that. Just plugged the car in. It’s set on 80% as it has been for a few charges.

Back into house, think I’ll change to 100%. Can’t connect. Delete app. Reload. Nothing.

What is it with developers? They seem to get something to a point where it works OK then keep f***ing with it till it doesn’t.

No wonder it’s so poorly rated.

Also can anyone tell me how to stop the two messages about changing various settings appearing every time I open the app?

There is something wrong with your setup. I don't have any issues with the app or connection. Don't get any repeat messages.

Is that after a refresh of the app? Or you just opened the app and screen grabbed it?

Please, always refresh before posting sensational screen grabs.

Yes it was. It went from 70 miles and 26% to that. It has corrected after a further refresh.
That sort of thing doesn’t bother me, it’s just a glitch that I categorise with the nonsense efficiency figures it occasionally throws up. I know which figure is accurate.
It’s the apparent randomness of the connection that can be annoying. I just tried again but no luck.

Our other car sits next to the Kia in the garage and it connects quite reliably to its app so the network seems OK.

At least the messages seem to have ended now I’ve deleted and reloaded the app.

Well it is crap graphical design. The check box and text are completely outside the pop up box and it hardly attracts your focus does it? I went through the same scenario with mine. Couldn’t see the check box for a while. Peter

Dealt with this today and got it fixed. Had same issue as you and deleted the app then reinstalled it. Still no response. So I contacted KIA Connect app support ( amazing how many people try to fix these things themselves ) and as usual the support team responded quickly and efficiently. Needed to try a head unit reset as suggested by @prawlin and hey presto back to normal. The app has been updated recently as told to me by Kia connect support and I do notice a new graphic on the screen but most importantly it ‘talks’ to the car again.

1. uninstall the app on your iPhone.
2. reinstall the app
3. Push the pinhole on the head unit of the infotainment screen in your car and wait till screen back to normal.
4. Try remote status on app.

I did the infotainment head unit reset with the car in ready mode but not sure that’s required.

Glad it worked for you, but since my last post above the crap App is back to being next to useless. Before you say anything, I had done exactly as you have done above, but there’s no change. There’s another thread running on the subject and all those posts say the App is not working as it should and has been playing up for sometime.
I phoned Kia Connect App support today and they were next to useless I'm afraid, telling me to fill in a form online, which I did, but the system wouldn’t let me submit it.
Just more KIA 💩💩💩😡
