I got some hits when searching for info at the Michealwood Services Southbound but nothing definitive. Are there any charge points, other than the old Gridserve ones, at this site yet? If not, are there any estimates as to when?
M5 Michealwood Services Southbound - Any Applegreen Charge Points There?
I got some hits when searching for info at the Michealwood Services Southbound but nothing definitive. Are there any charge points, other than the old Gridserve ones, at this site yet? If not, are there any estimates as to when?
On the northbound side the bases for 8 chargers for 16 bays are in, but the chargers themselves weren’t fitted (as of last week). I assume when @AndyUK says 8 chargers on the southbound side it will also be 16 bays?
Fair play to Applegreen they seem to be fitting a decent number of charging bays at all their sites fairly quickly, unlike Gridserve and Ionity.
Not sure when It's finished but they have been putting in the suply for this all winter. I cycle along about a mile stretch of minor road that has all been trenched up to put the cable in. It's not exactly going the straight line route but there is a big wood on the striaght route.
It'll be good if these are live and when the Gloucester services go live, the M5 services were looking pretty poor for charging so on a trip to Bristol and back I was going to divert to the superchargers at Cribs Causeway.
AIUI Gloucester services ‘Westmorland Charging’ units are already live in both directions. Not sure what the situation is with the new Tesla V4s (or indeed the old Gridserve chargers), but it means there are plenty on this section of M5 southbound!
Michealwood is showing live data on Electroverse. It’s odd how Zapmap/Chargefinder/Electroverse all still appear to have different data sources for what should basically be the same CPO data.
I see it now I think I must have clicked on the old Gridserve pin and there was loads of comments about the new chargers not being operational, 9 years of EV driving and now I'm getting confused because there are too many chargers
Well that's going to be an expensive charge if I stop at Gloucester once we've been around the farm shop
I ended up using these yesterday, nice wide spaces and simple to use chargers. They've pulled up the bump stops and there seemed to be two of the units removed from one end of the row, there were people working on those spaces.
