MG Lane Keep Assist nagging?

I find the lane keep assist to be awesome. It holds the lane perfectly.

However, it's constantly beeping/nagging me. Sometimes I can pretty aggressively wobble the wheel and it still doesn't immediately realise.

Is there anything I can do about it?

I'm at the point of looking for weights to hang on it!!

These systems are not designed for hands free use. Keep your hands on the wheel.

Self driving is proving to be a harder nut to crack than techbros expected. As such, regulations prevent their use almost everywhere, and manufacturers are required to enforce the driver to drive - hence the warnings.

If you want unfettered self driving, you'll have to move to the US - and even then you'll want to pay attention; Teslas have been known to self crash.

I don't want fully hands free use, I want it to stop beeping at me when my hands ARE on the wheel. The system is just too sensitive, or rather I guess, not sensitive enough to being touched.

Its lane keep, its not fully automated Cruise. It stops you wavering over marked lines. Its nagging because you need to hold the wheel, not rest 1 finger on it. It senses torque on the wheel to ensure you're holding it.
Yeah I'd figured that is what it was sensing, it holds the lane too well though, even with the wheel held completely in my hand, I'm not going to give it a steering input when it's in the middle of the lane.
