There's a problem with the App/Servers. It's happening to a few people who have connected their cars within the last few days. I've been speaking to Renault about it for a few days.

Oddly if you charge you'll get notifications that the charge has started/stopped, but nothing else.

 

Thanks for letting me know I've raised it with them as well, hopefully more bug reports will bump it up on priority for them

 

The tech support adviser I've been speaking to thinks it's something to do with a recent app update. I think it's easier to fix (force stop the app) on Android phones, but no workaround for iOS yet.

 

Glad it's not just me. Spent about an hour on a call with Renault Tech support only to be told the same and that there would be an OTA update later this month but the guy didn't fill me with confidence!

 

This doesn't sound promising, however, app seems to be flakey with many other manufacturers as well. I wonder who really takes responsibility for this? Audi never seemed to care,

 

Yes my Volvo didn't work this afternoon (did work this am and throughout winter tbh) ... I didn't realise how cold it gets in the car without remote start/pre-conditioning {which I always use in Winter)

Usually a cycle for an app is a month or so, and it looks like they've been updating the app every month (at least iOS), with the last update 2 weeks ago. So fingers crossed it gets fixed soon!

 

App has suddenly started working for me, hurrah!

 

Did you do anything, or just randomly worked? also are you iOS or Android?

Nevermind, mine literally just came to life Good old backend bug then. Good to know then, suggests that most of the app design is modern

 

I'll un-cancel my order then!

Now working here also. Although my charge %age is way out. It is currently 75% in the car but showing as 47% in the app.

EDIT: Just noticed that it's showing last vehicle activity at 14.40 yesterday, but I charged up (and did a 12 mile journey) after that, so it appears the data is not currently up to date.

 

Have you tried to pull down while in the app to refresh? It updates for me then

 

Some updates have been made as I noticed new functionality. Now you can set a charge timer from the app too. Previously only been possible from the car interface.

I had one issue a few weeks back where I reset the whole system. Not sure if it actually fixed anything or was it just an outage like this.

Wasn't that much of a job to re-do the car settings, the apps and Vivaldi bookmarks etc were the most painful. Apparently you could overcome this as well by creating a specific Vivaldi account. Already lost count of all the different accounts I have by now ...

Apart from that the app has worked without major problems. A few hiccups here and there but were always fixed by a restart or new login to the app.

 

Location service not working and identify my vehicle option is useless. I wrote Rneault today to add state of charge control from the app and how many kw are getting into the battery, I think if we bother them enough they can do that as car is reading kw from charging station via carscanner.

 

It depends on their priorities on the development of the application. With the cars reaching new markets now (for example UK), they will most likely work on stability and reliability of features it has right now while the user base grows. Only after that new features will be worked on

 

For me both work, but location service has too long update interval so basically useless for real time location.

Used the lights a couple of times to find the car, haven't dared to try horn yet.

Regarding kW to battery and charge limit controI agree both would be useful.

It seems to be slow progress with the app. I now have charging mode on the app.

Nothing yet regarding climate, I guess I just have to be patient.

 

I got charging before the climate I don't have the option of lights etc though, does everyone else have that?

Are you on android perhaps? Seen some issues with it lately and some users have been advised to return to older versions from unofficial apk sources. Apparently Renault can't get the software fixed but can't be bothered to pull the faulty version either.
