Just had confirmation from plugsurfing that the new shell/Allego tie up will be available through the plugsurfing app or using the universal rfid tag. They already work with allego in Europe and it's good to see it here too. Would be good to see the other networks also sign up do we only have to carry one rfid tag and receive one monthly bill. This is the future.

You'd have to continually get 5 m/kWh plus to get any where near ICE cost per mile. What about in minus temperatures?

Isn't the saving grace of EVs at the moment the lower running costs?

Anyway, we shouldn't knock this. We need them to roll out more. Just hope they can come up with a more sensible price. Maybe, nearer to 30 p/kWh.

This thread is not about shell, it's about plugsurfing. The shell debate has been discussed at length on other threads. This thread is about plugsurfing unique business model that allows you to use multiple charge networks with one convenient rfid tag. They work with allego in Europe so will do so here. It just happens it's shell and after the 25p trial period they will charge 49p. If instavolt, chargemaster, Genie, ecotricity etc etc all signed up, you could have 1 bill a month with them all itemised. Have 1 tag on your car keys and never use all those apps or cards again. That seems like a good idea to me?
