I'm out of the country at the moment and I believe there was some maintenance carried out yesterday. Could my my settings have been altered in some way?

 

Same here, try typing the Octopus login URL https://octopus.energy/login/ instead of using a favorites link, also try clearing your cache as it might be trying to access a URL that no longer works.

If you have a smart phone you could try downloading the Octopus app and trying that.

 

The app has started insisting on my email & password all the time rather than just a fingerprint, which is a PITA.

 

I think that's an issue with your device, it's lost the finger print to login/password data link, you need to reset it, do a Google search for how to do it for your device type.

 

Are you using a PC or a smart device like a phone or tablet.

I'm on a Mac on Safari, it's the same on my iPhone but the Octopus App is working on the phone. Looks like it's just happening to me probably because we're abroad and maintenance was carried our yesterday by Octopus.
Just going out to eat, I'll give it another go when I get back.

There are 2 Octopus apps on android. The one with the smaller octopus is the latest, both are working for me right now. I rarely use my laptop to login

 

Works fine, both app and online on iPads here

 

Try using a proxy server and choose a uk based destination.
Maybe it's spitti g you out for being on foreign soil.

Morning, I got in late last night and didn't do anything.
Low and behold this morning everything is working fine!
I expect it's to do with the update on Monday and not being in the UK.

Well I'm forbidden again this morning WTF!

 

Could be a problem with the DNS that's been assigned, try setting a static DNS to 8.8.8.8 with 4.4.4.4 as a backup.

 

Something similar has happened to me several times. However, each time there's been the usual link to 'Menu' at top of the forbidden notice and clicking that let me see the menu and select 'account' which takes you back to what you would have seen if the forbidden notice hadn't popped up.

 

There's no menu for me just a blank white page with "403 Forbidden"
If I type Octopus into my browser it just says "403 Forbidden".

 

Turn off router for an hour, turn back on.

 

App works fine for me today.

 

Not had this error for nearly a year now.
