Negative Agile prices much of the weekend as well as the free sessions , so I was going to run a through loads through the tumble drier. However, I creosoted the new shed's floor while it was standing in the garage and now the whole place stinks, so no way was I going to risk making clothes stinky by running the tumble drier (which is also in the garage). Oh well...

If the charge you nothing for a unit, it is still costing them between 3.6p-6.8p/kWh to deliver it to you. So they need to get at least that in negative wholesale or balancing revenue to break even. I can't think of many times I have seen wholesale prices at -£40/MWh let alone -£70/MWh. Intraday and balancing prices might and balancing prices definitely can.
They are paying those expenses anyway... Im sure they know the math better than us !! LOL
But, point taken.

Some more results have dribbled in.

Brings me up to £12.10 over 12 sessions.

Maybe I can buy my own coffee AND sausage roll!
