I have read the pathetic manual but am none the wiser. Please someone give me a step by step guide. Is there a difference on whether the car is charging or not i.e already fully charged.
Thanks Ken

2 choices
via a timer on the eManager
via a manual zap of the button on the CarNet website/app

I use a granny for my GTE and have successfully preheated for say 7am, when the min charge level was set to 80% to have the battery finish charging at 7ish too.
Both use cases, 1) a timer with heat ticked, or 2) having forgot to set a timer, plugged the car in at 6am and then zapped it from the CarNet app manually to heat, about 20mins before I want to leave.

Some people have reported poor preheating on a granny whilst still charging but I've not noticed it.
A car with defrosted windows, and immed drive-off-ability is a luxury during winter morning commutes.

Thanks but unfortunately i need a bit more of step by step guidance. I will NOT be using the app approach. I just want to use the simplest way even if that means going to the car x mins before departure time and manually switching it on. I would just go out and switch the ignition on and leave it but when charging this is not allowed. ?

Use the e-manager. It is the simplest way.

Setup a departure time with a charging location that allows charging and A/C. The car will preheat for your departure time and continue for 10/15mins post departure time.

It obviously can't charge the battery at 10Amps (using the granny charger) and heat at the same time, so it will charge first then do the heating.

As above, the trick is understanding the connection between ‘location’ and ‘departure time’. In location you set the parameters for rate of charge, off peak hours, and importantly whether you charge, heat or both.

Departure time is just that, what time you plan to depart and what days. You can choose either a one off event or a recurring schedule.
