I tried to drive the other day when I noticed the SatNav wasn't giving me voice guidance (and it wasn't muted and a route was set it just wasn't suggesting any). I think I'd tried setting a route before it had properly all initalised - and cancelling and re-setting a destination didn't bring it back.

This lead me to discover keeping your finger pressed on the power icon on the screen for more than at least 5 seconds causes it to HARD reboot. This will effectively crash and reboot it so is probably not a good thing to do often - but is quicker than playing with fuses or leaving the car, locking it and waiting for the relays to shut down.

EASY LINK is in the ZE50 (New Zoe), for the old Zoe (ZE40, ZE20) with R-Link and for those who don't know you just press the "Home" button repeatedly 5 times.

I think one thing you haven't seen yet Andy is that the power "button" is software on EasyLink, at least on the large one I have. Its not a physical button. So if the system is properly buggered, I don't think this would work and it would be time to start fuse hunting. They should have put an old-style pinhole reset button or something on the side of the unit.

Good to know.... oh wait! Checks signature. Oh yeah, I already knew that! ;)

Hopefully that someone has a solution for my problem, I kick this topic. In short: I recently installed a dongle in my new Zoe for Android Auto (was a problem with compatibility via USB and my phone). It worked, but suddenly (I think because of the Wifi) Easylink offered me an update. In short: what happened was a freeze of the update sayin "software update initializing". Does anybody know to reset/reboot/cancel whatever? It doesn't change. O and I disconnected battery and fuse. Did not help. Somebody?

If you've completely killed your EasyLink you will need to take it to a dealer.. one of the things that we did find with updates stuck in the "waiting for vehicle cond." is it's a bad translation and the engine has to be "on" for the download to start... but it has to be "off" for the install to start!

EasyLink downloads software updates over its mobile connection.. it does not download any over WiFi. Software updates are slow.. EasyLink is probably running a really old version of Android with all the computational power of a toaster. Updating maps can be done via the Alliance Connect Toolbox but this won't update the OS.
