After failing to fit into a citroen ami due to my long legs hitting the non-adjustable steering wheel I hope the Duo is workable.

I bought a heated seat cover for my van, for about £25 (missed the £5 ALDI deal!), which works perfectly from the 12v socket.

 

Starting to see more media about the Duo as we get closer to the Paris motor show.

I was hoping the windscreen would have heating wires like a Ford but that heater pod on the dash is probably all we get. Will that be enough for the rear passenger who doesn't get a heated seat and might get blown on if the door seals aren't right?

 

The windscreen is heated, but you’re correct the pod on the dash is for aircon, I suspect it won’t be the most comfortable place to be in the rear seat of a Duo. I just need to check if my Ogio which I haul all my RC car race gear in fits on the backseat as that will be the deal clincher for me so I can use the Duo to go to race night on Mondays and commute to work the rest of the week.

Will need to get a female to female Type 2 connector to charge at home as I have a tethered home charger.

When I tested the Silence S04 they were horrendous and it was pretty toasty inside with no aircon!

I should image hardly any dealers will have a demo model unless they are mandated to have one.

 

Are there any VED concessions on these 'L7' vehicles (is that what it is?). Shame on Government if they stick you for the £195.

(Hence, it is limited to 21 hp (15 kW). I believe mass of battery is not counted in the MIRO.)

 

Unfortunately it looks like Quadracycles are treated as cars, so £10 in first year and £195 in the second year onwards.

Electric three wheelers and 2 wheelers only pay £25.

 

The VED system needs a total overhaul.

In France it seems you can order a Duo with an integrated household plug or a type 2 plug. Since most cars have a type 2 socket not a plug I think this would stop you using granny chargers, meanwhile the household plug could be used on public chargers with an adapter.

Does anyone know of granny chargers with a type 2 socket instead of a plug? Alternatively this could be the first legitimate use for dangerous type 2 cable extenders.
