I paid £139 in April 2021 for my Leaf E+.

They only do a visual inspection and should give you a report on the battery condition.

 

@Silent runner , I'm on a service plan with my my dealer (Bristol Street) so can't give you a precise answer. That figure from @farmergiles is quite representative from memory. My plan was good value for money (against paying for each service separately) and was cheaper than another local Nissan dealer's plan too. Have you been quoted a particular figure?

 

The Nissan fixed priced servicing was 159 Minor / 209 Major for the Leaf. I don't think it has changed.

 

Mine was served by a Nissan Approved service centre, not a Nissan dealer so they could charge less.

 

My minor service cost me £37.50 plus parts (for wheel balancing) and VAT: Total £59.64

A major service, including changing the gearbox oil and brake fluid, cost me £50.00 for the service plus VAT, £45 for the brake fluid change, and £50 for the gearbox oil change and pollen filter, plus parts (pollen filter, ATF oil, brake fluid) . Total £239.10 (inc. VAT)

In both cases, the MoT is extra at £54 (no VAT on a MoT).

 

Do they still give you a years free breakdown cover with a Nissan service?

 

Until very recently I had a Leaf 40 for 4 years. In that time I purchased 2 x 2 year service packs from my Nissan Dealer. The first one cost £299 and the second cost me £339. Both were a saving on the cost of buying 2 services

So the servicing cost me £638 for 3 years - £210 per year

My replacement EV is a Kona EV. I purchased a 3 year service plan for just £279 so an average of £93 per year.

From Day 1 I have considered Nissan service costs to be a complete and utter rip off - be it for an EV or ICE

 

My 2 year service, (7530 miles), this week at main dealer cost £205, which includes 12 month breakdown cover, well overpriced, but no other option.

 

is rotating the tyres part of any service?

 

No idea, not something I had thought about, but I expect with so much to do, they won't have time in the 2 hour slot. There's looking under the bonnet to make sure the engines still there, topping up the washer bottle, and I almost forgot, washing the exterior. All in all, an absolute rip-off, and I got the cost wrong, it's not £205, but £209.
