Service overdue on 2016 28kWh ioniq - Is it worth doing out of warranty?

I have owned my 2016 28kWh ioniq for 3 years and driven 40k miles and not got a service.

It's well out of warranty now and has done about 84k miles overall, so not too sure if I can justify the £200+ cost.

Does anyone feel its worth paying for servicing when out of warranty on their EV?

I'd look for a Hevra gge myself. Should be cheaper that a main dealer. Shouldn't be anything they can't do. They'll check for things like damage to tyres, gaiters, state of discs etc.

If it hasn't had a transmission fluid change, that's probably worth doing, even if it's not in the service schedule. There's zero filtation of that oil, just a rattly magnet that tries to catch the tiny wear particles. I got my dealer to do it as part of a regular service, cost me £100 extra. A Hevra gge would probably do it cheaper, and it's a diy job if you're happy mucking around underneath. I did nothing last year, but the numbers on the "days / miles since last service warning" keep going up and making me feel like I should eventually consider it.

And the dealer emailed me to remind me about it too this week.

Everything was fine on the MOT, and I hoped that a plus of an EV was little to no servicing needed.

If the MOT did not pick up on anything then I would suggest that a common sense regime would be an annual check on the brake pads / discs plus brake fluid quality (and expect to have to replace every 4-5 years ime), check on the pollen filter and replace as needed (probably best just to replace if you are paying someone else), plus a change of battery coolant as per manufacturer schedule, plus a transmission fluid change every 50k miles or so. The basic annual check on the brakes + replace pollen filter is going to take less than an hour. Maybe ask an independent for this rather than a "service" if you want to keep a tight control of cost.
