Trouble connecting Garo Entity Pro to app

Hi Everybody
I have had a Garo Entity Pro charger fitted (not by Garo appointed person) but by a qualified electrician. He just installed the unit and said to me that I could use the charger direct or use an app and gave no more instruction. I have tried to connect the Garo app by contacting Garo but am getting nowhere, can anyone tell me if the serial number is the number in my phone GaroCU-**** is this the serial number as I understand that I can connect the charger through the Monta app without having to have the charger activated by Garo. I now know the serial number is on the backplate of the charger but this would require dismantling the charger and I would like to avoid this. If anyone could help connect the app by this or any other method (with instructions) it would be greatly appreciated.

Michael8554, your reply prompted me to see if there was anything on the guarantee, couldn't find one but a label was affixed to the lid of the box with the ser.no. on it, thankyou, if it were not for your answer I would never have found it. I will try to connect with a little more confidence now. Thanks again mate. I did try the GaroCU number but it did not work.
