Zoe Charging

Hi,

I have only owned my Zoe for around 1 month and its my first EV so I am still getting to grips with everything. I have been charging using the Type 2 socket but I have only just realised that that underneath my charging cap, there is another socket directly below the Type 2.

Does this mean that the Iconic R135 Zoe has CSS charging too?
What does this actually mean in a practical sense?

Thanks
Mat

Yes, the extra port is for CCS. It will allow faster DC charging at public chargers.

I think they are fitting CCS across the range now on the 50 with the option taken away , even on the Iconic for the last couple of months

22kw AC (Max) with just the Top socket (TYPe2)

and I think 52kw (max) DC charging when using a charger with this plug (even if DC charger supports 150kw) :

Plusses apart from faster charging:

CCS seems to be the way public chargers are going across the land.
Better Resale value if your EV has CCS
